Dashain And Tihar
Nepal is a land-locked country
situated in Asia continent, no see
routed are connected. India and China are the neighbor country of the
Nepal. There are many types of cast, language,custom, and religion. Mainly
people are of Hindusm. According to the population , many people are Hindus.
And other religion are also find like Muslim, Christian, Sikh, and other. Many
languages are used in different place and mainly people use Nepali language.
Nepali language is the mother language of Nepal. There are many casts like
Chhetri, Brahman, Magar, Tharu, Rai, Limbu, etc.. So Nepal is a multi language,
cutom, cast,and religion country…
Main festival of Nepal is
Dashain And Tihar. Mainly are hindus and the main festival of them are Dashain
and Tihar. There is a believe that Dashain is celebrated on that day When Ram killed Ravan. And the day when Ram return to the Ayodhya
this Day is celebrated as Tihar. So this two festivals are the main festival.
The festival Dashain is celebrated first and after 21 days People celebrate
Tihar. Altogether it takes one month to celebrate this festivals.
The festival Dashain mainly
celebrates in the month of October ( In Nepali Calender the month is mainly
Ashwin). In this festival all family members meet together and all people go to
there own house and meet with there family members. On the day of Dashain
people celebrate by putting Tika (A mixture rice and curd with
the powder of red colour) in forehead and putting Jamara (Small plants of
some grains) on the ear. And tika is putted by elders on others forehead. And
elders give bless to other for whom they put tika. And like this people
celebrate the Dashain. On the duration
of dashain time people eat different types of food like sweets made by
rice flour, many people eat meat on this time and enjoy the Dashain. After
that, Dashain is end by the of Purnima(Full Moon Day).
After 10-15 days of dashain the
other great festival comes called Tihar. This day is mainly for sisters and
brother. On this day Sister and brother meet together and celebrates according
to their own culture and ritiuals. Tihar is celebrated for 5 days by different
methods . First day of tihar is known as kag (crow) tihar.In this day crow is
worshipped as a messenger of yamraj. Second day of tihar is called as kukur (Dog) tihar .In
this day dog is worshipped as a saver of a human civilization. Third day of
tihar is called gai(cow) tihar. In this day cow is worshipped as a god Laxmi .
Fourth day is called gobardhan Pooja.On the last or fifth day of Tihar it is
Vai Tika. One this day Sister put tika on forehead of her brother and brother
give Gift to her. On this day people eat special type of sweets made by rice
flour and sugar. In 3 days of tihar people enjoy and entertained by them by
playing Deusi Bhailo . During the tihar every house is decorated by
Light and turn or burn candles at night. By this type people celebrates Tihar.
